Avril Lavigne and Joss Stone Share Their Influences

Avril Lavigne and Joss Stone are the latest artists to get involved in the Spotlight Influence Series. Each CD is a collection of tracks from their favorite artists highlighting the songs that had a significant impact on their own songwriting and career. Avril and Joss handpicked an album’s worth of specific songs that they have a strong connection with, and they also wrote liner notes about why they chose the tracks. Joss’ Influences include James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Corinne Bailey Rae and Luther Vandross, while Avril named blink-182, Goo Goo Dolls, The Cranberries and Alanis Morissette. The two albums come out July 17th and they are available at Target.
